Note from Pastor Mark
A student at Pioneer Jr-Sr High School, Eli Felker has been active in school sports since the 4th grade. An 8th grader, he was a running back and safety in football. He is a point guard in basketball and will be running hurdles in track this spring. Eli, however, has no plans to pursue sports in high school,
When asked what he likes best about school, Eli’s quick response was “history class.”
He also is involved in the Pioneer Auto Club, where he enjoys learning about the mechanical aspect of cars and trucks.
Eli is a regular at Shiloh’s Youth Group sessions. He feels it is important and points out that he learns life lessons with his peers in Sunday School and SYG that will help him throughout his life.
On the Big Creek Mission trip last summer, Eli worked in the construction field with Bill Shanks and Tony Franklin. They put shingles on a roof and hung dry wall inside the house. “It was a lot of fun,” Eli said. He’d like to go back again.
When Eli is not at school or doing homework, he likes to hang out with his friends, play basketball in his driveway, and play video games.
Eli has an older brother, Wyatt, whose picture is found in the right-hand column of this page. He also has a younger brother and sister – twins Jake and Kinsey. When asked if it was interesting having twins for siblings, he said it just felt normal.
Eli’s dad, Steve, has been Eli’s role model and has had the biggest influence in his life.
